James Mackenzie is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker. As a current member of Film Independent / Loyola Marymount University's post-graduate Incubator Lab program, he has begun work on his first feature. James loves making films on a Saint-Vincent-de-Paul budget and wants to tell stories that would make his parents and Shakespeare proud.
Audrey Makes a Mixtape premiered at the 2014 Heartland Film Festival and most recently played at the 2014 St. Louis International Film Festival. At LMU SFTV's 2014 Film Outside the Frame awards, Audrey was awarded Best Live Action, Best Sound Design, Best Production Design, and the Ian Conner Award for Best Cinematography.
